About me

I am Anton Alexandrov, a second-year doctoral student at the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology, Sofia University from October 2023. I am supervised by Prof. Ce Zhang and Dr. Kristina Toutanova.

My main research interests include natural language processing, multilingual representation learning, transfer learning, applied machine learning and more.

On a more practical note, BgGPT is a project that I started and am continuing to work on in the present. It is a big initiative to bring better Bulgarian language models and Bulgarian NLP to the scientific community and the Bulgarian society. We have our open models freely available on our HuggingFace org and have created a chat application that excels in Bulgarian language understanding and generation.
