VMware supports INSAIT with a $1.5 million grant to stimulate technological innovation in Bulgaria and Europe

The goal of the partnership is to attract world-class researchers and specialists and prepare the next
generation of innovators and engineers.

Sofia, Bulgaria, September 8, 2022 VMware announces its partnership with the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technologies INSAIT. Through this investment, the company aims to support high-tech research and development in Bulgaria and Europe.

Through its VMware University Research Fund, the company will support a 10-year agreement between Swiss universities of technology ETH Zurich and EPFL and the Bulgarian government. The $1.5 million grant will be invested in attracting both faculty, including international scholars and researchers, and doctoral students in the fields of computer science, systems engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data storage and transfer.
