INSAIT (Institute of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology) is happy to announce a new collaboration with Toyota. The collaboration with Toyota will focus on the general area of AI and robotics, where on the INSAIT side the leading principal investigator will be Prof. Luc Van Gool. Prof. Van Gool, now faculty at INSAIT, is one of the world’s most renowned and cited scientists in AI and computer vision. The collaboration will begin by providing funding for PhD fellowships to pioneer advances in AI and robotics, paving the way for exciting breakthroughs.
“INSAIT will contribute to Toyota’s Human Support Robot initiative by developing AI for prolonged, independent living. The interaction of computer vision and natural language processing is a key element of the project.” – said Prof. Luc Van Gool.
INSAIT is proud to collaborate with Toyota and welcomes the momentum and synergy that such opportunities generate.
“At INSAIT, we are excited to create operational research links with world-class organisations around the world. The collaboration with Toyota is exciting as it spans an important area in the AI space and will offer exciting research opportunities to aspiring PhD students.” – commented Prof. Martin Vechev, Architect of INSAIT.
