Summer AI Research Program for Students

The STARS (Science, Technology and AI Research Internship for High-School Students) summer AI research program offers a unique opportunity for motivated 10th and 11th grade students to engage in the development of the latest technologies and research in the field of artificial intelligence and computer science under the guidance of INSAIT researchers .

Duration

The program is 8 weeks long. Students will work in person at the institute’s premises in Sofia Tech Park in the summer of 2024.

During the summer internship:

Students will draft a work plan with guidance from their mentor. The plan is prepared at the beginning of the internship.
They will submit a report at the end of the internship summarizing their work on the project. The report must be formatted as a scientific article.
They will present their project within the series of seminars organized by INSAIT

Scholarship

The selected students will receive a monthly scholarship of 1,500 leva.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to 10th and 11th grade students enrolled in accredited institutions. We encourage applications from communities traditionally underrepresented in STEM.
