“I chose Sofia over dozens of other places across Europe and the world because of the opportunities that INSAIT offers.” – this is what Prof. Bernhard Haeupler (INSAIT) said during his appearance on the Bulgarian National Television’s Panorama, one of the country’s most popular programs.
Joining President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova, Prof. Haeupler spoke about his recently awarded ERC Advanced Grant and what this achievement means for Bulgaria.
“Scientists go where they can do truly world-class research. Twenty years from now, when INSAIT is still here and we look back at its successes, I will have been part of that journey. That’s what motivates me and why we are working on research projects that Europe and the world are talking about,” he said.
His words are a powerful endorsement of INSAIT’s mission: to build a world-class research institute in Bulgaria that attracts exceptional talent and creates globally recognized scientific breakthroughs.
