Prof. Bernhard Haeupler Delivers Keynote at ESA – ALGO 2025 in Warsaw

Prof. Bernhard Haeupler, faculty member at INSAIT and ETH Zurich, delivered a keynote talk at the European Symposium on Algorithms (ESA), one of the world’s premier conferences on algorithms. ESA 2025 is taking place this week in Warsaw, Poland, as part of ALGO 2025, the largest annual event in Europe dedicated to algorithms research (https://algo-conference.org/2025/esa/).

ESA is organized in collaboration with the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS) and is widely recognized as a leading venue for presenting cutting-edge results in both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of algorithms. Its program features multiple tracks, including design and analysis of algorithms, engineering and applications of algorithms, and a special track devoted to simplified and elegant presentations of known results. Proceedings of ESA are published in the prestigious Leibniz International Proceedings in Informatics (LIPIcs) series.

ALGO itself is a federated event that brings together a number of leading conferences and workshops in algorithmics, including ESA, IPEC, ALGOCLOUD, and others. This year’s edition is hosted in Warsaw from September 15–19, 2025, and brings together leading researchers from around the globe.

Prof. Haeupler’s keynote highlighted his influential research in algorithms and underscored INSAIT’s role at the forefront of fundamental computer science. His invited talk at ESA reflects international recognition of his contributions and further strengthens INSAIT’s position within the global algorithms community.
