ECCV 2026 has wrapped up in Malmö and we’re leaving with a lot to celebrate.
With 10 papers accepted to the ECCV main track, INSAIT ranked 5th among EU research institutions by number of accepted papers. With 10,473 submissions and 2,883 accepted (27.5%), this is a strong recognition of the quality and breadth of research done at INSAIT.
And that breadth was on full display: from FrameWorkers, an AI director turning a one-line idea into a narrated film, and VOID, for physically plausible video object removal, to EvDiff, which reconstructs realistic color video from sparse event-camera data, and Syn2Seq-Forcing, which helps AI video models navigate between third- and first-person views. We also explored how AI agents can design effective ComfyUI-style visual workflows rather than simply imitate existing ones.
Beyond our own research, we helped shape the conversation through GAIA 2026, the 2nd Workshop on Geospatial AI and Foundation Models, and the 7th OpenSUN3D Workshop, alongside the Articulate3D Challenge.
It’s exciting to see research developed in Sofia becoming part of conversations shaping the future of computer vision and AI.
A huge congratulations to the entire INSAIT team, and thank you to everyone who visited our booth, joined our workshops and talks, explored our demos, and connected with us in Malmö!
See you in Bucharest for ECCV 2028!
