Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev met with Prof. Martin Vechev, Founder and Scientific Director of INSAIT, and Borislav Petrov, Executive Director of the institute. The official meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry Alexander Pulev, Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov, Minister of Education Prof. Georgi Valchev, and Minister of Innovation and Digital Transformation Ivan Vasilev.
The discussion focused on strengthening the partnership between the Bulgarian government and INSAIT in strategically important areas, including scientific research, artificial intelligence, robotics, and other key technologies. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of investing in innovation and research as a key driver of Bulgaria’s long-term economic growth and competitiveness.
Prof. Vechev highlighted INSAIT’s progress over the past four years, during which the institute has attracted leading international researchers and established world-class research programs in AI, AI sovereignty, large language models, robotics, cybersecurity, cryptography, quantum computing, machine learning, and other key areas.
