The global technology giant has been actively supporting the institute since its launch in 2022.
INSAIT, an institute at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” has won a 500,000 USD award from Google. The funding will support the continuation and further development of the institute’s research in AI, robotics and adjacent areas.
This support will help INSAIT researchers make key advances faster in strategic areas such as computer vision, robotics, machine learning, and others, with the ultimate goal of creating new technologies with global impact.
The award further strengthens the long-term partnership between INSAIT and Google and supports the institute’s mission to conduct world-class research in Bulgaria, reinforcing the country’s position as a leading AI and high tech hub in Europe and beyond.
