We are pleased to welcome Cory Myers to INSAIT as our newest Ph.D. researcher, joining Prof. David Basin’s new information security research group!
Cory brings a distinctive background in public-interest technology, security, privacy, and applied cryptography. He has been a core developer of SecureDrop, an open-source whistleblowing platform used by newsrooms and civil-society organisations worldwide, and an Internet of Rights Fellow at ARTICLE 19, a global human rights organisation defending freedom of expression and freedom of information.
His technical work also includes two US patents in networking and routing.
His academic background spans computer science and philosophy, with a master’s degree from the University of Washington and a BA from Yale University.
At INSAIT, and building on his work with SecureDrop, Cory will focus on applying formal methods to security-critical digital systems and protocols that protect fundamental rights.
We look forward to seeing Cory bring his experience and perspective to INSAIT and contribute to research with real-world impact.
