We are excited to welcome Alexandar Zaharyan as a Robotics Research Engineer at INSAIT, bringing a strong background in machine learning, computer vision and deep reinforcement learning.
Alexandar holds a Master’s degree in AI and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, and is a graduate of the Sofia High School of Mathematics. His academic and research interests span reinforcement learning, computer vision, generative modelling and time-series forecasting.
Alexandar joins INSAIT from Chaos, the company behind the award-winning V-Ray technology for 3D visualization and rendering. There, he developed computer vision and generative models for the ArchViz industry, including models for PBR material generation and image upscaling.
Previously, he worked at Fourth, first as a Data Science Intern and later as a Machine Learning Engineer, developing and deploying forecasting models for major restaurant chains across the UK, US and APAC. Earlier, he worked as a Software Engineer at Iphos GmbH, building web applications for clients including BMW.
Alongside his industry experience, Alexandar has also taught Deep Learning to undergraduate and Master’s students at the university.
