Over 4,000 Students from More Than 150 Countries Apply for a Summer Internship at INSAIT

More than 4,000 students from elite universities worldwide have submitted applications for a summer internship at the INSAIT. Among them are medalists from national and international Olympiads, as well as recipients of various awards and distinctions in their respective countries.
The applicants include representatives from some of the world’s top universities, such as Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, MIT, Caltech, ETH, Carnegie Mellon, and others. All of them are competing for the opportunity to spend their summer in Sofia and work at INSAIT.
The Institute’s summer internship program will be held for the third time, with interest growing significantly each year. In 2025, a record has been set—both in the number of applicants and the diversity of their backgrounds, with candidates from over 150 countries across five continents.
The selection process is extremely competitive, as a prestigious panel of INSAIT researchers carefully reviews applications and conducts interviews. Out of the more than 4,000 applicants, no more than 20 students will be selected. These students will be invited to spend the summer in Bulgaria, working at INSAIT for a period of two to three months. They will collaborate with leading researchers and contribute to innovative projects in the fields of artificial intelligence and deep technologies.
