INSAIT With Three Accepted Papers at IROS 2025, One of the World’s Leading Robotics Conferences

Researchers from the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT), part of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, took part in the 2025 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2025) – one of the world’s premier forums in the field of robotics. This year’s edition was held in Hangzhou, China, and brought together over 8,000 experts, leading researchers, and representatives from the global technology industry across more than 60 countries.
INSAIT had three research papers accepted and presented at the conference, showcasing the institute’s growing contributions to cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence research.
One of the accepted papers was presented by Asen Nachkov, doctoral researcher at INSAIT, and introduces a novel method for training autonomous vehicle policies through differentiable simulation (DiffSim). The approach enables the development of more robust, efficient, and human-like controllers for autonomous systems. The presentation attracted significant attention and received highly positive feedback from the robotics research community.
Congratulations to all INSAIT researchers for their achievements and continued impact at leading international scientific forums.
