INSAIT at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski has 8 papers accepted at the International Conference on Learning Representations 2026, one of the leading global conferences in artificial intelligence. With this result, Bulgaria once again ranks among the European countries with the highest number of accepted publications and places first in Eastern Europe.
This year’s conference will take place April 23–27, 2026, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, bringing together thousands of researchers from academia and industry to present the latest advances in AI. Participants traditionally include representatives of major technology companies such as Amazon, Google, and Meta.
The accepted papers involving INSAIT researchers address several key areas of modern AI research, including reasoning capabilities of large language models, methods for image restoration under different types of degradation, evaluation of multimodal reasoning in AI systems, large-scale corpora for analyzing mathematical proofs generated by language models, as well as new approaches to 3D geometry reconstruction and techniques for training more accurate, robust, and reliable models.
The papers are the result of collaborations between INSAIT researchers and colleagues from leading universities in Asia, Europe, and North America, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
