Borislav Petrov рepresents INSAIT at IMF–World Bank мeeting in Varna

Borislav Petrov, Executive Director of INSAIT, participated in the discussion “Digital Transformation: Productivity, Governance, and Inclusion”, held as part of the regular meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group in Varna, just days after the G7 Summit.

During the discussion, he highlighted the connection between the world-class research conducted at INSAIT and the strategic direction of building AI sovereignty that INSAIT is also pursuing. He also emphasized the critical role of the partnership between the institute and the Bulgarian government in developing strategic national capabilities in this field.

The event was opened by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Galab Donev and brought together IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Dimitar Radev, World Bank Executive Director Eugene Rhuggenaath, finance ministers and senior representatives from Andorra, Armenia, Montenegro, Cyprus, and Georgia, as well as central bank governors from Israel, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, and Croatia.
